To make the process of getting authoritative backlinks easier, you must understand how to determine whether or not the source website of any given link is authoritative.
With that, there are several factors to consider when determining whether a website is authoritative or not.
First, you want to look at the site’s PageRank. The higher the PageRank, the more likely it is that the site will be able to give you backlinks that will help your site rank highly in search engine results.
The second factor is the age of the domain name. A domain name with a long history has been around longer and has had more time to get indexed by search engines, so it’s likely to have more authority than a newer domain name. Furthermore, authority sites are often older than newer sites, so if you see that a site was registered recently, it might not be as authoritative as one that’s been around for years.
Thirdly, look at how many pages are on the site and how many links lead back to it from other sites. The more links and pages there are, the more likely it is that this site will have some authority as well.
You should also take a look at the content on the page. Is it original? Does it look like they’ve put a lot of work into it? Does it have an internal link structure that makes sense and makes it easy to navigate around the site? Authority sites tend to have more original content than spammy ones do.

One way is to use Moz’s Domain Authority tool. This tool analyzes a website and gives it a score between 1 and 100. The higher the number, the more authoritative a site will be considered. It’s important to note that DA does not take into account a site’s content or user engagement. It’s more about the domain name itself and its history.
Another way is to use Fetch as a Googlebot tool from SearchMetrics. This tool also measures how authoritative a website is based on its content and links, as well as social media activity. It also gives each page on your website its own score between 0-100, so you can see where there may be opportunities for improvement!
