One way to determine whether or not a website has high domain authority is to navigate over to Alexa, which provides free analytics for websites. Once you’ve entered the URL in question, click on “Traffic Ranks” in the left-hand column. There, you will see an overview of traffic rank for the past three months and for all time, as well as referring sites and traffic sources. If you scroll down further, you’ll see social engagement stats such as number of Facebook likes and Twitter followers.
Another way to determine domain authority is through a simple Google search. If you are looking at a website and want to know whether or not it has high domain authority, look up “site:” followed by their URL in your browser’s search bar. This will bring up all of their pages on Google and show you where they rank in relation to other sites in the SERPs. You can also use Moz’s Domain Authority Checker, which will give you an estimate of how many links have been built on that page and how many pages link back to it.
Generally, when you’re trying to determine whether or not a website has high domain authority, there are several factors you can use to assess the site’s overall authority.
The first is the number of backlinks that point to the website. These are links that lead from one website to another and can be seen when you view a site’s source code. The more backlinks there are pointing to a particular site, the higher its domain authority will be.
Another way to gauge domain authority is by looking at how many social media shares it receives. Sites with high domain authority usually have large numbers of shares on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms.
Finally, you’ll want to look at how many searches are performed on Google for keywords related to your target audience. Sites with high domain authority tend to rank well in search results because they’ve been written in ways that appeal directly to their target audience.
