Now, when it comes to reaching out, don’t be afraid to ask! Just be sure you’re polite and respectful. Don’t be pushy or aggressive, and make sure you have a genuine interest in the person or business you’re reaching out to.

Furthermore, be specific about what you want! Don’t just say “I’d love a mention,” because then, it’s up to them whether or not they want to mention you. Instead, give them something specific, like an article title or quote from your company that would make sense for them to share with their audience.

Of course, you should also be patient! It might take some time for someone to respond to your request for a link, but that’s okay! You want someone who cares about their audience as much as they care about yours, so if they don’t reply right away, try again later!
