What is NAP consistency, and why is it important for local SEO?
NAP stands for name, address, and phone number. It’s basically the information that you need to publish on your website to make sure that Google knows where you’re located. Most of us already know that if you don’t have this information on your website, you won’t be able to rank as well. However, what if you do have it? Does that mean that you can just publish it once and call it a day?

When creating your online presence, make sure that you’re using the same name, address, and phone number across all channels. These are critical pieces of information that help customers find you online.
As much as possible, strive to keep your address consistent across these platforms as well. If they can’t be consistent, then at least use one of these three pieces of information consistently throughout each platform.
Finally, don’t forget about local directories like Yelp or the Yellow Pages! These directories can be a great way to drive traffic from people who are looking for businesses near them but don’t know where exactly those businesses are located or how to contact them directly.
