What is A Good Domain Authority Score?

Scores between 40 and 50 are considered average. 50 to 60 is good. Scores above 60 is excellent.

Here’s an example. We used this tool to analyze several of the biggest brands on the internet, and see how each website measured against other big brands.

Large sites have higher domain authority because of the quality of their content, the number of backlinks they’ve earned, and the number of its audience.

The examples have DAs of 90 or more – practically perfect!

Simply put, the higher your domain authority score is, the more visible you’ll be online!

How Does Domain Authority Affect A Website?

Domain Authority is a ranking system used by Google to determine how authoritative a website is. It’s based on various factors, including the age and popularity of your site as well as how many other websites link to yours.

In other words, higher domain authority scores typically correlate with higher search engine rankings, so you can see how domain authority can impact SEO results.

For example, a website with a DA score of 62 will likely have its website pages ranking higher than a website with a DA of 35.

How does LinkDaddy DA Checker work?

We calculate DA by the relevance of the website on the internet, rather than its internal pages.

DR checker infographics

It is best described as follows:

  1. The process begins by finding all domains that have one or more followed links to the target domain.
  2. Look up how many other domains each linking domain links to.
  3. Then pass some amount of “DA juice” from each linking domain to the target domain. That amount is determined (roughly) by dividing the DA of the linking domain by the number of unique domains that it links to.

Why is Domain Authority important?

Domain Authority is the most important SEO metric.

There’s a lot of junk and spam on the internet, so it’s not always easy to tell which websites are trying to be authoritative or trustworthy.

Measuring the DA of a website can tell you which ones have strong SEO and should be promoted, and where to avoid building links.

When a high-ranking site links to your website, it sends link juice from its domain over to yours. Google will notice this and boost your page’s SERP ranking accordingly.

When you give a backlink to a site with a lower DA, you are passing on your authority.

It can be difficult to determine who is trustworthy on the internet, but by using DA you will know what sites are safe.

How to improve your Domain Rating?

If you want to improve your Domain Authority, there are a few different ways.

  • Backlinks,
  • The number of referring domains,
  • On-page SEO (keyword optimization, meta title tags and descriptions),
  • Content quality (the length and readability of your content),
  • Social signals (the number of likes, shares, retweets, etc.).

Building backlinks using relevant anchor text (the words in the link) helps you get more high quality links, which also improves your DA score.

Creating content that is focused on a specific keyword, and making sure it’s well-written and easy to understand will help you get more links from other sites, which improves your Domain Authority.

What To Do With The Results

By now, you’ve learned how important domain authority is and how it influences search engine rankings. But what can you do to improve your own website?

In order for data collection to be useful, you must have a plan. First and foremost is knowing your competitors.

Don’t focus on giant corporations like Microsoft or Apple; find smaller businesses that are similar to yours. They should have a site about the same size as yours and contain content with similar keywords.

Examine the “link profiles” of competing sites to see what kind of links they’re attracting and whether you could get one too.

The more quality backlinks you get, the higher your DA will be.

FAQ

Domain authority is a metric that measures the strength of a website’s domain. It is one of many factors that search engines use to rank websites in search results. Domain authority is a score on a 100-point scale that predicts how well a website will rank in search engine results. A website with a higher domain authority score will rank higher in search results than a website with a lower domain authority score.

There are many benefits of having a high domain authority. A high domain authority can help you rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs), helping you to get more website visitors. Additionally, a high domain authority can help to improve your click-through rate (CTR) and organic search traffic, as well as help you to get more social media shares and links from other websites.

Domain authority is determined by a number of factors, including the age of the domain, the number of inbound links, the quality of inbound links, and the number of outbound links.
The age of the domain is a factor because older domains are generally more trusted by search engines. The number of inbound links is a factor because more links from high-quality websites indicate that the website is more trusted.

There are a number of common mistakes that can lower your domain authority, including:

1. Not having enough high-quality inbound links. In order to increase your domain authority, you need to have links from high-quality websites pointing to your own. This signals to search engines that your site is a valuable resource worth ranking highly.

2. Having too many low-quality inbound links.

How can I check my site’s Domain Authority? You can find out the Domain Authority of any website using LinkDaddy’s free Domain Authority Checker! What is it? A Domain Authority Checker is a tool that allows you to see how well your site ranks on search engines. The higher your Domain Authority, the better your ranking will be.

Simply enter the URLs you want to check one by one in the input field above and hit the button to get their metrics. You’ll get scores for the following metrics:

  • Ahref DA
  • Backlinks
  • Referring Domain

In order to improve your website’s DA, you need to build up all of the factors that influence it.

Backlinks from other websites are like votes: the more backlinks a website gets, the higher it ranks in search engine results.

The value of a backlink varies based on the authority of the site that’s linking to your own. So keep in mind that not all votes are equal; some have more influence over search engines than others.

Domain Power Booster allows you to add links to your site with a DA of your choice, from DA20-DA50.

Now: Scroll up and enter the URL’s of websites whose domain authority you’d like to check!

Domain authority is measured by using the Ahref algorithm. It looks at a number of factors to determine how powerful a domain is. The most important factors are:

The number of links pointing to the site (inbound links), as well as the quality of those links (how many of them are nofollowed, how many are dofollowed, etc.)

The number of pages on the site and how much content it has. The age of the site, which accounts for its visibility in search engines’ indexes over time.

In reality, the amount of time it takes to increase your DA score depends on a number of factors, including the number and quality of the links you are able to acquire.

It’s a common misconception that you need to wait several years before you see a change in your Domain Authority. Generally speaking, if you focus on building high-quality links, you can see a noticeable increase in your DA score within 6-12 months.
